Detectors keeping consumers safe from contamination

At the end of last year, Australian strawberry growers were thrown into an emergency situation by an act of sabotage - small needles hidden in strawberries.

As experts in our field, Lost Treasures had numerous panicked growers come to us looking for help.  We ran multiple field tests with many different metal detectors to see which machines could pick up the small shards of metal within these small fruits.  It was a troubling time for all involved, and we are proud for playing our part towards finding a solution. Due to the sensitive nature of this issue and the media frenzy around the country, we delayed in telling this story.

Thankfully, many farms now have a new first line of metal detector defence out in the fields to make sure incidents like this never happen again.
