Out in the field: An accidental find!

Out in the field: An accidental find!

One great thing about metal detecting as a hobby is that you never know where your next find will be.  We were recently out at a retirement village in Keperra on a recovery job for a lost wedding ring, when we detected a British WWI The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) brass hat badge!

We're not sure what it was doing there, but very happy with the accidental find. What's the oddest item you've found out 'in the wild'?
